What do tutoring sessions look like?
So what do lessons look like
My lessons are based on three key principles
Understanding the content (Knowledge)
Being able to recall information (Memory)
Applying knowledge to exam questions (Application)
In my lessons, I aim to get students to work on all three of these principles by clearly explaining lesson content with diagrams and analogies, testing students' ability to recall these questions, and practicing past paper questions to ensure that students understand how to go about applying their knowledge so they are in a good position when it comes to mock exams and GCSEs/ A-levels.
Here is an example of a PowerPoint I would use in Tutoring A-Level Geography to ensure students have a good understanding of the subject content.
I make these PowerPoint in conjunction with the student's exam board specifications to ensure that all information is accurate and relevant to the student's exams.
I provide similar PowerPoint for other subjects again creating them with a focus on the Exam board specification.
This PowerPoint is the 5th in a series of lessons I provided to an A-level student studying Edexcel Geography and we followed this section with more exam practice.
